Southside food fans could be in for a treat after one of the city's much-loved chefs teased that he's heading south.

Chef Modou Diagne, the man behind 111 by Modou in Kelvindale, has created a new social media channel to tease his new Studio Modou concept.

The popular chef, who went from sleeping rough after coming to Scotland from Senegal in search of a better life, to becoming one of the city's most impressive chefs, is sure to be a big draw for foodies in the area.

His restaurant 111 by Modou is hugely popular, and for good reason, the man can cook. Since taking over the former 111 by Nico site on Cleveden Road in Kevindale back in 2020, he's fast developed a reputation as having one of the city's most consistent (and great value) fine dining spots.
