The opening date for the much-anticipated new Stack Newcastle has been announced.

Set in the former Worswick Chambers on Pilgrim Street rather than a stack of shipping containers, it will open on Tuesday, December 2.

The flagship site will welcome visitors from lunchtime and follows a multi-million-pound refurbishment of the historic site.

Neill Winch, CEO of Stack, said: "StackNewcastle has a special place in our hearts as it is so close to the site of our very first venue.

"We are very proud of the fact that we have brought this landmark building back to life after it being vacant for 25 years.
