NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - The Southland Conference has named SFA head coach Colby Carthel its coach of the year.

The honor follows a 10-2 season for the Lumberjacks, who won the Southland Conference championship. SFA was undefeated in conference play.

SFA will host a second-round FCS playoff game and will await the winner of Abilene Christian and Lamar.
