COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Four food banks in the region has been granted $405,185 from the One SC Fund for emergency food response.

One SC Fund was activated recently in response to the delay of federal SNAP benefits threatening to impact more than 550,000 South Carolinians earlier this month.

As the statewide philanthropic response to natural disasters and statewide emergencies, the One SC Fund at Central Carolina Community Foundation distributes contributions through grants to nonprofits serving local communities across South Carolina. • Golden Harvest Food Bank • Serving 6 counties (Aiken, Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell, Edgefield, McCormick) • Amount granted: $62,248
