CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — As families prepare to travel for Thanksgiving, West Virginia residents can expect rain, strong winds and cold temperatures that could impact holiday plans without the proper preparations.
Travelers should brace for wet conditions early in the week, but Thanksgiving Day itself is expected to remain dry across the state.
"What folks can expect traveling for Thanksgiving is some wetter conditions here if you're leaving Tuesday or even Wednesday," said Joe Curtis, meteorologist with the National Weather Service. "But things will dry out heading towards Wednesday afternoon and also on Thanksgiving Day."
