AccuWeather warns that travelers across the Midwest, Great Lakes, Northeast, and Southeast may face delays this holiday weekend due to storms , snow, and gusty winds.

A large storm moving through the eastern U.S. before Thanksgiving is expected to bring heavy lake-effect snow and wind, particularly across western New York , Cleveland, lower Michigan, and the Great Lakes region. Snow squalls and whiteout conditions could make roads hazardous, while wind gusts of 40-50 mph may cause power outages. Flight delays are likely at major hubs, including Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis, and New York City.

Although Thanksgiving Day itself is expected to be mostly dry, post-holiday travel could be further impacted by a second storm beginning Black Friday. This storm may bring snow from the Rock
