Gas prices this year, as Thanksgiving travelers take to the roads, have been unusually stable.
The average national gas price has not fluctuated more than 25 cents in either direction since January. Its lowest so far was $3.04 per gallon of regular unleaded gas on Nov. 3, and its highest was on April 4 at $3.27.
As of Sunday, Nov. 23, the national average cost of regular gas was $3.07 a gallon, just about a cent higher than the same time last year.
