Arkansas is set to be home to another billion-dollar data center, this time in Clarksville.

Rep. Aaron Pilkington, R-Knoxville, said Tuesday that a California-based data center developer is working on a large-scale data center valued at "at least one billion" dollars in Clarksville that will generate a "significant amount of property tax windfall" for the city. The project joins three other data center projects in the state, which have price tags between $1- and $4 billion.

The company, Serverfarm, acquired two parcels totaling 135 acres last month through a subsidiary, SF ARK1 LLC, according to county property records. The acreage is just north of the city's water treatment plant on Palmer Road.
