The FBI could be closing in on Ryan Wedding, following the arrest of one of his former accomplices.
Wedding, a former Olympian alleged to be a drug kingpin, represented Canada at the 2002 Winter Olympics as a snowboarder. He now stands accused of running a billion-dollar drug smuggling ring and ordering several killings.
The 44-year-old has been a wanted fugitive since last October and was added to the FBI’s top ten list in March.
The reward for his capture was increased to $15 million earlier this month, and a former DEA agent might be the one who pockets it, as he recently claimed to know Wedding’s whereabouts.
Meanwhile, the authorities may have caught a significant break with the arrest of 32-year-old Rasheed Pascua Hossain.
