The Battle Ground school district will make a third attempt to pass a replacement levy.
On Monday, the Battle Ground Public Schools board voted to place the levy on the Feb. 10 ballot. The levy would collect $189.5 million over four years.
The district’s two attempts this year in February and April failed to garner the simple majority required to pass a replacement educational and operations levy.
The current levy expires at the end of this year. As a result, the board approved a 2025-26 district budget with $14 million in cuts in August , including elimination of 116 full-time staff positions, middle school sports and a program that helps kindergarten students transition into school.
