Indiana State Police are investigating a shooting involving Indianapolis officers in Franklin.
Early reports indicate that Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department SWAT officers were in Franklin to serve a warrant when an officer-involved shooting occurred.
In the aftermath of the shooting, IMPD Chief Chris Bailey and other top-ranking department members were on scene.
"I recognize that you have a lot of questions. Most of our investigators are just getting on the scene," ISP Sgt. John Perrine said shortly after 3:15 p.m. He plans to provide a further update at around 3:45 p.m.
Was anyone injured in the Franklin officer-involved shooting?
No officers were injured in the shooting, but one person was shot. Their condition is unclear at this time.
