Ahead of the release of his Amazon MGM holiday comedy Oh. What. Fun. , Michael Showalter has inked a deal to reteam with the studio as the director of a modern reimagining of the 1987 Diane Keaton dramedy Baby Boom , Deadline can confirm.

Plot details on the new take are under wraps. Producers include Stacey Sher for Shiny Penny and Showalter and Jordana Mollick for Semi-Formal Productions. Katie Aquino will executive produce for Shiny Penny, with Emily Crook overseeing for Semi-Formal, which has a multi-year first-look deal with the studio.
