Nov. 25, 1976: O.J. Simpson sets NFL single-game rushing record
O.J. Simpson made NFL history on Thanksgiving in 1976, rushing for a record 273 yards on 29 carries. To this day, it is the sixth-most rushing yards for a player in any NFL game.
Despite adding two touchdowns, Simpson's Buffalo Bills lost to the Detroit Lions 27-14.
