A 13-year-old girl has been arrested in the shooting death of a 16-year-old boy over the weekend at a Pomona apartment.

Police responded at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday to the residential complex on East Pasadena Avenue, east of North East End Avenue and north of East Holt Avenue in the eastern Los Angeles County community. The 16-year-old boy with a gunshot wound died at the scene.

The girl was taken into custody at the scene, police said. She was transported to juvenile hall.
