STRATHMORE — The California Sierra Chapter of Safari Club International along with The Modern Savage, hosted a full weekend of community pheasant hunts that brought together sportsmen and sportswomen from across the region. The events, held at the Lake Success Wildlife Area, featured the inaugural Golden Age Hunt and annual Ladies Hunt, both California Sierra SCI originals and both aimed at promoting outdoor recreation, conservation awareness and responsible hunting practices.

Organizers purchased and planted 200 rooster pheasants throughout the wildlife area, providing participants with quality opportunities to pursue game in a safe and well managed environment.
