New Jersey Gov.-elect Mikie Sherrill (D) blasted the Pentagon over its investigation into U.S. Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) on Monday.

Kelly, a retired Navy captain, was one of six Democratic lawmakers who posted a video last week to remind members of the military and intelligence community that they do not need to obey illegal orders. The Pentagon announced on Monday that it would be launching a “thorough review” of Kelly’s conduct as a result of the video.

Sherrill, a former Navy helicopter pilot, joined the chorus of Democrats criticizing the Pentagon and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth over the investigation into Kelly.
