WALKER, Mich. — Raising Cane's is planning to open another West Michigan location.
This time, the chain known for fried chicken is planning to open a restaurant in Walker along Alpine Avenue.
Benchmark Design Group, the engineering group working on behalf of Raising Cane's, plans to demolish the now vacant TGI Friday's building and build a new drive-thru restaurant at 3179 Alpine Ave NW.
The Walker Planning Commission approved the special land use request for the 3,100-square-foot restaurant at a meeting last week.
Construction could start as soon as July 2026, with the potential to push the work earlier next spring, depending on permitting.
Raising Cane's just opened a new location in Kentwood earlier this month.
