An Edmonton-area cabinet minister and a former deputy premier are among the latest round of United Conservative Party (UCP) MLAs to be subject of recall petitions.
Elections Alberta listed five more approved recall petitions on its website Tuesday morning, bringing the total number of government MLAs facing recall up to 14.
Spruce Grove-Stony Plain MLA Searle Turton and Affordability and Utilities Minister Nathan Neudorf are among those named, along with Red Deer-South MLA Jason Stephan, Camrose MLA Jackie Lovely, and Athabasca-Barrhead-Westlock MLA Glenn van Dijken.
The recall campaigns have until Feb. 23 to gather signatures totalling at least 60 per cent of the number of votes cast in the electoral division during the last election.
