BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - The residents at Watercrest, a senior living community in Bryan, are getting into the giving spirit for Thanksgiving.
The residents were invited to donate food to support seniors in need identified by the Brazos Valley Adult Protective Services (APS) caseworkers.
“The APS caseworks will identify families from their caseloads that are needy and won’t have a Thanksgiving meal otherwise,” said Kim Varner, Watercrest Executive Director.
Over 700 pounds of food were donated.
The food donated was put into baskets jam-packed with everything they would need for a full Thanksgiving meal.
