TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - A Tallahassee man has pleaded guilty to “distribution of child pornography and receipt of child pornography,” according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida.
Richard Alan Spivey, 62, faces 15 to 40 years in prison along with lifetime supervision upon release due to his prior convictions relating to sexual abuse or sexual conduct involving a minor, the attorney’s office wrote in a press release Tuesday.
The 62-year-old’s guilty plea comes after Tallahassee Police received a Cybertip report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in July 2024, per the release.
The report alleged that Spivey “uploaded child pornography to a social media platform when sending it to another user as part of his chat messages,
