LINN COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) - The Solid Waste Agency landfill and recycling center in Marion will be temporarily closed this week due to extreme winds.

The landfill, located at 1954 County Home Road, Marion, will be closed Wednesday due to predicted extreme winds and wind direction. All locations will be closed Thursday for Thanksgiving.

Landfill and recycling will be open Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., but the main office will be closed with no phone service.

The agency will resume normal operations Saturday by appointment only.
