Alex Kingston 's future on Strictly Come Dancing has been confirmed after concerns she'd be forced to pull out.

The 62-year-old sparked fears she'd have to quit the series after her daughter revealed she'd sustained a rib injury in a comment on social media, and that she'd taken to the dancefloor on Saturday despite the discomfort.

Doctor Who actress Alex, who is partnered with Johannes Radebe, later reassured fans it was merely "part and parcel" of competing in Strictly, and that she didn't have any plans to step down .

And now It Takes Two presenter Fleur East has confirmed Alex is set to return after last week's Blackpool special.
