Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and District 4 City Commissioner Patty Sheehan joined city residents to celebrate the "Swantennial" on Tuesday morning to commemorate 100 years of Lake Eola's swan boats.

The celebration featured a historical presentation of the iconic city symbol and the unveiling of a new golden swan boat at 10:30 a.m., celebrating the 100-year history.

The boats made their debut in 1925 and have been a part of Lake Eola Park, "symbolizing both the city's creativity and its enduring commitment to recreation and togetherness," the city said in a news release.
