LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A man was arrested for allegedly using a fake social media account to share intimate photos of a woman without her consent.

34-year-old Santiago Ramirez was arrested on November 18 on charges of publishing intimate visual material, according to authorities.

The case began in May when a woman contacted police to report that someone had used a fake social media account to share intimate photos of her. The victim identified Ramirez as the suspect and said he would allegedly harass her online.

The Webb County District Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and approved the arrest warrant for Ramirez.
