EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The controversy appears to be over with the High Spirits Liquor Store on South Kentucky Avenue.
As we’ve told you, some neighbors have been fighting to get closed.
We’ve now learned the Vanderburgh County Alcohol Board will not meet again to discuss renewing their permit.
According to the state commission, the store has withdrawn their application.
This follows several months of community push-back about the location of the store.
High Spirits has been operating on a temporary liquor license for several months.
Now that the license won’t be renewed, there’s no word on what will happen with the building.
