COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Columbus Police continue to investigate the unsolved murder of 17-year-old Carson Skinner, who was shot and killed outside a residence in May 2021.
Officers responded to the 1100 block of Bismark Drive just before midnight on May 31, 2021, where they found Skinner suffering from a gunshot wound. First responders attempted to save him, but he was pronounced dead about an hour later.
Skinner was an Eagle Scout known for his humor and his love of four-wheelers and scuba diving. He was hanging out with friends, including his brothers, when gunfire broke out.
