HOBART, Ind. (WNDU) - Amazon announced a $15 billion investment in Northern Indiana for a next-generation data center campus with the goal to provide over 1,000 long-term jobs, and the company reportedly has its sights set on Hobart.
Hobart Mayor Josh Huddlestun confirmed the location of the new Amazon campus Tuesday, one day after the company announced the investment .
“This development will immediately bring in tens of millions in revenue to our city,” Huddlestun said in a statement. “While other communities are looking at cutting services or raising taxes, we’ll be able to deliver relief to our citizens while creating opportunities for our youth, schools, parks, public services, and the entire community.”
