RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - This is NOT A FORECAST , but wanted to get ahead of talk about possible snow in the Tuesday/Wednesday time frame of next week.
So, we are giving you the First Alert to that potential, but it is far from certain. The storm system may not even form and if it does, there is no guarantee there will be enough cold air available to produce any snow.
Our medium range models are showing a system riding in from the south toward the middle of next week producing rain that could transition to snow for some portion of the Mid-Atlantic region if enough cold air is available and the timing is there.
The European model shows a track farther north and pretty much all rain for our viewing area. Perhaps far northwestern Virginia could see some flakes up that way into Wednes
