PITTSBURGH —
Steelers defensive tackle Daniel Ekuale is suspended for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing substances policy, the league announced Tuesday.

No additional details regarding the violation were announced.
Ekuale is on injured reserve with an ACL tear. He was injured in Pittsburgh's home game against Green Bay Oct. 26.
Ekuale, 31, signed a one-year contract with the Steelers in March, following four seasons with the New England Patriots.
