Steelers defensive tackle Daniel Ekuale has been suspended five games for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing substances policy, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac reported Tuesday.
Ekuale is currently on injured reserve following an ACL injury he suffered against the Green Bay Packers. He’ll still be able to serve his suspension while on IR, but he’ll miss out on his weekly pay for the duration of the suspension.
Ekuale signed a one-year, $2.8 million deal with the Steelers in the 2025 offseason. While healthy, he appeared in seven games with no starts, logging six total tackles and one quarterback hit. He played 72 defensive snaps.
