BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – If you remember those red kettles that come out every Christmas with bells ringing, then you’ll recognize the latest friendly competition underway in Bowling Green.

WNKY News 40 recently covered Salvation Army’s kick off of its Kettle Campaign with “Battle of the Bells.” The fundraiser aims to support the mission and resources provided by the Salvation Army.

Now the community has some competitors facing off, including sheriff Brett Hightower and chief Michael Delaney of the Bowling Green Police Department.

In addition to local law enforcement, Warren County Public Schools superintendent Rob Clayton faces Bowling Green Independent School District’s superintendent Gary Fields, and Bowling Green mayor Todd Alcott takes on Warren County judge executive Doug Gorman.
