LOUISVILLE, Ky. — In Louisville, city and emergency leaders said they’ve made tremendous strides toward recovery efforts after the deadly UPS plane crash.

Beginning Wednesday, business owners along Don Hudson Blvd. and Outer Loop will be allowed back onto their property.

Jody Meiman, the executive director for Louisville Emergency Management, said they’ve had a big hand from local and national contractors who’ve worked through these situations before.

“An example of that is the contractor that’s picking up the aircraft debris. They’re getting into a location where there’s a lot more of it, and they’re bringing in extra personnel so that they can overcome, and it doesn’t slow them down,” Meiman said.
