CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A shooting in west Charlotte left a man dead on Tuesday, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
The shooting happened on Thriftwood Drive near Freedom Drive around 9 p.m. A man was found dead at the scene from gunshot wounds. The victim's name was not released.
CMPD is investigating the shooting as a homicide.
Police said they have not made any arrests or have any leads at this time. Anyone with information is asked to reach out to CMPD.
