Big changes are coming to the National Park System in 2026. A press release by the U.S. Department of the Interior , which oversees the National Park Service, announced "the most significant modernization of national park access in decades."
The changes announced include changes to the America the Beautiful pass , including new pass artwork and digital pass options. The announcement making the biggest waves, however, is the changes to national park entrance fee structures.
The new entrance fee structure includes a significant price jump for international visitors to U.S. national parks, including those coming from Canada. Under the new payment plan, Canadians and other international guests will pay more than triple the current fees to visit the most popular national parks in America.
