At 12:47 a.m. on Wednesday, the National Weather Service released a wind advisory valid from 7 p.m. until Thursday 11 a.m. for Westmoreland Ridges, Fayette Ridges and Higher Elevations of Indiana.
The weather service adds, "West winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected. Gusts around 55 mph are expected for elevations above 4,000 feet across eastern Tucker county West Virginia."
"Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result," states the weather service. "Secure outdoor objects. Please report downed trees, power lines or large branches by calling 412-262-1988, posting to the NWS Pittsburgh Facebook page, or using X @NWSPittsburgh."
