Patients have been forced to flee as fire ripped through several floors of a hospital in Cartagena, Spain.
The thick flames created a large plume of smoke in the a city, located in the Region of Murcia, with smoke visible from miles around. Firefighters are on the scene attemting to extinguish the horror blaze.
Staff and the sick have been urgently evocated. Videos on social media showed patients, some still in hospital beds, being rushed out of the building with their vital equipment attached.
The fire is believed to have started at around 7:50am local time and the extent of the blaze's rapid spread caught hospital workers by surprise, according to Spanish publications.
