A cold front will approach eastern NC Wednesday bringing a 30% chance of a few showers along with gusty southwest winds lifting the highs into the mid 70s by early afternoon.

Much colder air builds in for Thanksgiving and sticks around through Saturday. Highs Thursday will peak in the mid 50s with gusty winds making it feel chillier. The highs will struggle to exceed the 40s both Friday and Saturday despite sunny skies. Overnight lows will tumble into the upper 20s and low 30s Thursday and Friday nights.
