A Bridgeport man has been sentenced to prison for sexually assaulting four young girls.

Rahmani Kabwe, 42, was sentenced Monday by Judge Earl B. Richards III to 47 years in prison with a mandatory minimum of 15 years, according to a release from the Connecticut Division of Criminal Justice .

Court records show that Kabwe sexually assaulted three young girls between 2019 and 2021 and another young girl in 2022 while he was out on bond in the first case.

On Sept. 29, a Bridgeport Superior Court jury found Kabwe guilty of multiple counts of first-degree sexual assault of a minor, second-degree sexual assault, risk of injury to a minor and fourth-degree sexual assault.
