GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - After forecasting North Central Florida weather for more than three decades, TV20 Chief Meteorologist Mike Potter announced his retirement.

Mike’s last show will be the Morning Edition on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025. He was on the air for more than 33 years at WCJB.

“Trust is something that is earned in life, and Mike earned that trust in North Central Florida through his hard work and dedication to our community,” said Paige Beck, long-time TV20 anchor.

“From guiding us through hurricanes, mentoring co-workers, and stopping on the street to talk to viewers, he has been a constant presence in our lives.
