RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles Commissioner Paul Tine has unveiled a comprehensive 35-page strategic plan to transform the DMV experience.

The plan, which Tine aims to implement fully by the end of 2030, focuses on seven key priorities to better serve customers.

This includes increasing online transactions from 31% to 50%, reducing average wait times from 110 minutes to 15 minutes, and modernizing technology systems. It also focuses on simplifying policies, automating processes, and improving office infrastructure and staffing.

Tine aims to enhance the workplace for DMV employees while ensuring customers benefit from a more efficient and user-friendly service.
