A $250 million development in Boonville is one step closer to being a reality.
Yesterday, officials announced plans for the EDGE of the Lakes project.
The development will include two hotels, a lake and beach area, entertainment venues, retail stores, and a steakhouse.
Officials are comparing it to Dollywood.
The project will utilize local labor and create thousands of jobs during and after construction.
Leaders say it will boost the local economy by putting $30 million in tax dollars right back into Boonville.
Officials are hoping to break ground in the spring.
The project is expected to take up to three years to complete.
