BOONVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - In Boonville Tuesday, officials went public with plans for the Edge of the Lakes project that was announced back in 2023
The $250 million dollar development includes two hotels, a large lake and beach area, entertainment venues, a steakhouse, and more.
Officials even compared it to Disneyland or Dollywood.
Tuesday, project leaders officially acquired the land from its owners and can begin moving forward with the project.
They say the project will utilize local labor and create thousands of jobs, both in the construction process and after it’s open.
