UK passports are set for a change from next month and holders will immediately spot a huge change. From December, the front cover will feature a new design which replaces the very familiar Queen Elizabeth II's coat of arms.
New British passports will instead have King Charles' Coat of Arms instead following his ascension to the throne. The heraldic emblem is updated for each new reign. Although the Queen died in September 2022, King Charles is said to have chosen to gradually phase in his royal insignia in a bid to keep costs down.
