A body has been discovered near the A90 in the search for a missing Merseyside man. ‌

The discovery was made at around 12.20pm on Wednesday between Brechin and Laurencekirk near Kincardineshire. Formal identification has yet to take place but the family of Kenneth Unsworth, reported missing from Merseyside, has been informed. ‌

Kenneth , 46, was reported missing from Huyton on Saturday. ‌

He was understood to have travelled 350 miles north to Tayside and possibly onto Aberdeenshire . ‌

Police say his death is currently being treated as unexplained. Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
