GRAND FORKS — In his recently filed lawsuit, former Grand Forks County Jail Administrator Bret Burkholder is asking that his position be reinstated with all included benefits and compensation for the time since he was fired as well as emotional distress caused by an alleged wrongful termination.

The case was announced to the public by press release Thursday morning, Nov. 20, and filed in Grand Forks County later that day. Defendants are Grand Forks County, Commissioner Terry Bjerke, Commissioner Mark Rustad and Sheriff Andy Schneider.
