Sometimes political incompetence rises to remarkable levels.
The President Trump prosecutions (some say “persecutions”) of former FBI director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James are so incompetent as to rise to “Keystone Kops” levels.
For those unaware, a “Keystone Kops” designation is the pinnacle of incompetence awards. Think Olympics and gold medals, the Cy Young award and baseball, or the Heisman and college football.
In an earlier column on the Comey prosecution, I prophesied (much to the consternation of acolytes who deify Donald Trump) that a Comey acquittal was the most probable outcome.
