Knife killer Philip Craggs is set to be freed from jail. The murderer was locked-up for life with a minimum of 15-and-a-half years for stabbing dad-to-be Paul Gilbert to death in Newcastle.

Just last year the Parole Board said Craggs should stay behind bars after determining his release would be too risky. But now, following a hearing earlier this month, a decision has been made to free him.

Today the mother of Paul's child told ChronicleLive of her devastation.
