WINNSBORO, S.C. (WBTV) - The body of a man missing from North Carolina was found in the woods in South Carolina this past week, officials said.

The missing man -- Jonathan Charles Shores -- was reportedly the victim of a Nov. 9 shooting in Davidson County, N.C. His body was found 11 days later, roughly 130 miles away, in the woods near in Fairfield County, S.C.

The said detectives developed a timeline that placed the suspects in the area on Nov. 10. Shores’ body was found after authorities from both Davidson and Fairfield counties searched properties and other areas of interest.

At some point during the investigation, the two suspects -- Jose Guadalupe Lopez and Brennan Summer Alexander -- were both arrested in Georgia, although in different counties.
