A Texas woman was killed after getting out of her vehicle during a crash in Jefferson County on Tuesday.

It happened just after noon on Interstate 65 South in Kimberly, according to the coroner.

Donnene T. Walker-Vean, 29, of Houston, Texas, was driving when she was involved in a crash with another vehicle.

She was standing outside her vehicle after the crash. That is when a third vehicle struck her vehicle, which then hit her.

She was taken to UAB Hospital where she died.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the crash.
