BANGOR, Maine — A pedestrian was struck by a car Tuesday evening in Bangor, claiming he was chasing a person who had stolen his belongings.
Bangor police responded around 5:37 p.m. near the intersection of Broadway and State Street for a reported pedestrian crash, according to a news release from police.
The 32-year-old man told first responders he was chasing someone across the road who had just taken his things before being hit by the car.
He was taken to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries. Police said no charges are expected to be filed at this time.
